Ministry statement
It is one of my deepest passions to see the word of God handled rightly, effectively and with conviction (or as the Puritans would say... with unction.) It is an unspeakable joy when I see “the light come on” in someone’s eyes that hitherto had been a smoldering wick. I love to light fires, most of which are kindled by the admonition from Jeremiah 6... “Go back to the ancient paths.” Indeed the prophet speaks the very heart of God when he reproved the religious leaders of his day for healing the brokenness of God’s people superficially - and not just his day.
I have found countless women, who like the woman incurably sick for 12 years had “endured much at the hands of many physicians, and had spent all that she had and was not helped at all, but rather had grown worse.” They are weary of the superficial healing they are receiving at the hands of those who ostensibly hold the oracles of God. When they hear that Jesus Christ is sufficient for every need of the human heart, indeed the great Physician and mighty Counselor... that smoldering wick of faith becomes ablaze with renewed joy and an unflagging purpose to tell others.
It is my heart and my desire to see godly women raised up and equipped to understand their role as a woman, a single, a wife and a mother. To see them gain understanding in the true knowledge of Jesus Christ, to counsel them in the blessed confines of the Scriptures alone so that they would be bastions of truth in a day when the very foundations of the church seem to be eroding. Too, that they would live the life altering promise of Isaiah 58:10-12. “And if you give yourself to the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then your light will rise in darkness, and your gloom will become like midday.... and those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins... and you will be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of the streets in which you dwell.”
